Located near John Wayne Airport in the Irvine Business Complex, Trilogy consist of 876 units and 14,500 SF of commercial space. Trilogy's urban infill master plan is composed of three six-story residential buildings interconnected by a pedestrian path system leading to a centrally located one-acre park. The site presented an opportunity to unify three unique architectural styles predominant in the surrounding city context: traditional, modern, and contemporary. Trilogy develops these distinguishing sensibilities through rhythmic variations in massing, materials, and color accents.  Importantly, the buildings form an internally related ensemble that shares a sense of modulation, fenestration, and basic color palette. The unifying yet varied expression of building base, middle and top allows for highly complementary relationships between the distinctly characterized buildings.  In relating to the neighboring stylistic context, Trilogy creates its own rich design ecology.
